When our client asked us to update and expand the old existing clubhouse at Greentree Apartments in Claymont, Delaware, OMNIA Group Architects accepted the design challenge. The program was to modernize and rehabilitate the painted concrete masonry building to include a modern Leasing Center as well as a state of the art Fitness Center for the residents. The rear of the building was dated, with clerestory windows. The new architectural plan involved expanding the building from the rear with an 800 SF addition with an office, conference room and a cutting edge lounge and computer center for the residents. This also included a 940 SF modern fitness center. The contemporary design shows a covered entry to the building, with smooth aluminum panels and a large aluminum column and woodgrain laminate panels to give the building a fresh new look to its facade. Along with a strong stone wainscot, the uses of grays and natural wood tones enhances the building, exuding a warm friendly atmosphere.
