Every three years, the reigning construction code body, the International Code Council, releases a new set of codes for the residential and commercial building industries. The new codes are generally adopted by State law and put into place and enforced at the local level. The 2009 codes feature a broad range of new and enhanced regulation of building practice ranging from structural changes to energy use management. Both Pennsylvania and New Jersey have adopted the latest codes and all new projects are subject to compliance with the standards. OMNIA is well versed in the implications and can guide owners, builders and developers through the maze that the changes create.
